SPREADSHEET (PART-1)

SPREADSHEET INTRODUCTION  Spreadsheet applications (sometimes referred to simply as spreadsheets) are computer programs that let you create and manipulate spreadsheets electronically . In a spreadsheet application, each value sits in a cell . You can define what type of data is in each cell and how different cell depend on one another. The relationships between cells are called formulas , and the names of the cells are called labels . A table of values are arranged in rows and columns. Each value can have a predefined relationship to the other values. If you change one value, therefore you may need to change other value as well,  or they will change automatically. Once you have defined the cells and the formulas for linking them together, you can enter your data. You can then modify selected values to see how all the other value change accordingly. Excel 2010 is most popular spreadsheet program where you desi

Electronic Mail " E-Mail"

Introduction of E-Mail E-Mail is also known as electronic mail . It is equivalent of sending a letter though the mail.Primary component of the Electronic Mail system is a post office , it is an area on the shared hard disk that is reserved for mail. This post office serves as the central message holder and has both "in" and "out" baskets for each user . To send a message a link is established between the sender's  "out "basket and the addressee's "in" basket. The method for receiving mail depends on the sophistication of the system. When multitasking personal computers and workstation are used, mail can be delivered to users while they are working  on something else .Otherwise users have to interrogate their mailboxes (diskspace) in a central system or  file server. 👉   Communication network  is the backbone of electronic mail that connect remote terminals to a central system or a local area network that interconnec

ANTI-VIRUS

ANTIVIRUS SOFTWARE Anti Virus is a software utility that detects, prevents and removes viruses, worms, and other malware from a computer. Most anti-virus programs include an auto-update features that permits the program to download profiles for new viruses, enabling the system to check for new threats. Antivirus programs are essential utilities for any computer but the choice of which one is very important. One AV program might find a certain   virus or worm while another cannot or vice-versa. Anti-Virus software is also known as an anti virus program or a vaccine. Anti-virus software searches the hard drive and external media attached to a computer for any potential viruses or worms. Broadly speaking, the two main approaches to virus detection are: Dictionary Approach : The anti-virus software checks a file and automatically refers to a dictionary of known viruses. If there is a match, the file is delete

VIRUS

WHAT IS VIRUS ?                                                  A Virus is a program created by programmers which is used to infect the Operating System. After the virus code is written, it is buried within an existing program and once that program is loaded into the computer, the virus replicates by attaching copies of itself to other programs in the system. Viruses  are merely found in the network environment.       Virus is just like that illness for a computer.Think that what happen when you are ill, that your body functions are not working properly. As same Computer Virus is also do the same things with it. The term 'computer virus' was first formally defined by Fred Cohen in 1983. They are always induced by people. Once created and released, however their diffusion is not directly under human control. After entering a computer, a virus attaches itself to another programs in such a way that execution of  the host program

In fact, it can be looked upon as a cover on the hardware. Thus an OS is an important part of every computer system. Operating system that supports a single user at a time is a single user operating system, such as Window XP. Some like LINUX, UNIX etc. support multiple users at a time.            EBEES INFOTRAIN CONSULTANCY SERVICES PVT. LTD. An operating system performs the following functions:  Proces

OPERATING SYSTEM PART-1 ( CUI & GUI)

INTRODUCTION OF OPERATING SYSTEM An operating system is a program that acts as an intermediary between a user and the computer hardware. The purpose of an operating system is to provide an environment in which a user can execute programs in a convenient and efficient manner. The operating system must ensure the correct operation of the computer system must ensure the correct operation of the computer system . To prevent user programs from interfering with the proper operation of the system, the hardware must provide appropriate mechanisms to ensure such proper behavior. TYPES OF OPERATING SYSTEM  1.CUI :  CHARACTER USER INTERFACE 2.GUI:   GRAPHICAL USER INTERFACE 👉    Definition of CUI CUI is the acronym used for Character User  Interface, which are conventional interfaces extensively used in 1980’s. A command-line interface (CUI) allows users to write commands in a termina
